The Greeks might start jailing Bankers...

The popular front of politics in Greece is seriously considering going down the Icelandic route and jailing the bankers and bailing out the people.

We should support them in this endeavour.

They are being ruined by a bunch of unelected bastards that are making them pay for debts that have been conjured from a derivative scam loaded into their economy.

If they do jail the bankers it will cause a huge earthquake across Europe, we might start thinking of doing this too...

Lock them up and throw away the keys, the World needs it own form of Financial Nuremberg Trials era.

Greece wasn't ruined by bankers, but by the flawed concept that the Euro could exist with monetary union without fiscal and govt union (which it was meant to be the precurser to).

If it didn't have the Euro it's currency would have depreciated to shit by now and everyone would be going on holiday there and buying cheap Greek exports. FX rate depreciation is the natural solver of many crisis. Of course the hidden reality is that the only reason that Germany has maintained such a strong economy over the last decade is that it maintained an artificially weak FX rate within the Euro. If it still had DM then they would have appreciated massively and the auto/industrial complex would have had far lower sales.

It suits the EU to blame bankers, since the real blame would lie far too close to home.......

PS Bankers are not blameless to any degree, just not the primary factor in this case.

The Banks foisted wrongful losses into the EU pot for clearing and were bailed out with cash, the rich nations were hit but able to cope, the poor were not.

The root cause of the problem was the Banking sector (unelected) and that was further compounded by the EU 'mandarins' who are unelected too.

Both are devils with dirty hands.

It starts somewhere and the start is irrevocably tied to the Banking sector as the progenitor of the disaster and it will hopefully result in faces behind bars, lots of them too.
