interesting Mark, thanks for sharing
Lovely cars - although longer term I am seeing issues with the V8s, I just don’t see on the W12s. I see probably 10:1 W12 to V8, yet never seen a major engine issue on a W12. Compared to 6 pairs of turbos and 2 engine builds on the V8. V8s need very regular oil changes due to dirty oil and starvation to the right bank turbo.

Easily fixed by a new oil filter mesh in the engine apparently 🤷‍♂️

I’m on my third continental and into my third year on the latest, longest I’ve ever owned a performance car.

Yep small gauze in the turbo oil supply line. Deep in the vee and bit of a mission to get to. Worth doing on older cars if you don’t know the service history. The newer part has bigger holes so less likely to get blocked. Didn’t want to get too geeky. I don’t know for sure, but would expect the latest gen to have the updated part…

How’s the market doing David ? Are buyers keeping you busy or are you seeing a slow down ?
I’ve just had to go sign up for my new land rover early because, they said, lenders are pulling out of the market due to the upcoming mis selling legal action against finance companies.

Have you gone Defender Commercial this time Chris ?

Market is still strong, as Chris suggests we have some impending changes to documentation and process, we're talking adding a few words into the paperwork but naturally lenders don't like change. Absolute storm in a teacup. The issue relating to the courts decision on Friday isn't a current issue, it was addressed in Feb 2021, the challenge with any of these things is precedent being set and the subsequent flurry of spurious claims as seen with PPI, emissions, and latterly DPF... Car prices remain unaffected, some lenders have paused lending until they produce the neccessary documents (this week) and others are mopping up as a result. Plenty of money to get to market and some good deals out there currently.

Bentley have really nailed the Conti with the latest facelifted model, but when did they become a nearly £300k car ?!!

New car has gone from a rich housewife’s or old geezers thing to a proper blokes motor too.
I have long suspected it is unrelated to the car or manufacturing cost and they just take the UK average house price and that's the list price, it always seems to be the same number!
