Much is made of medical advances improving health... and quite rightly.

But an almost as great a contribution has been provided by the humble Vacuum Cleaner.

They single handedly (is there any other way to use them!!!) have removed disease at it's inception in the hugely friendly home environment.

The more powerful the better, the greater the suck the less opportunity for the tiny microbes have to gain a hold.

It is an immensely backward move, the good thing is that the cap is largely a governor on the power supply, so a little ingenuity and almost all these lower power units can be retro-specced to be what ever power you want within reason.

Good cash business for anyone with a screwdriver, multi-meter and a thyristor by-pass.

Not this year or may be next, but after that it'll happen a few 'voxpop' radio programs about increases in Asthma and the clamour will be a stampede.

Lower power Vacuum Cleaners will more than double the number of those attacks in any household with a low-poke cleaner, plus all the eye infections that will more than double and trust me, what seems outlandish and slightly mad will be a business with serious money in it.

If you have kids and just one suffers in that way and you can't get a high-power device the option of a chap who comes to you and gives you that back will be overwhelming.
