Fraid not, if anything it makes it worse due to the tight water beads.

Looks really good - another big benefit of this ceramic coating I guess is that you wouldn't get water spots if you can't be arsed to dry the car?
With black cars they can end up looking dirtier after a quick wash if you don't dry them.

Due to where I live and the impossibility of keeping a car clean generally snow foam and pressure wash off and leave it at that as a quick spruce up and being time limited that's about as good as it gets at home.

Nope still need two buckets, meant to put that stage in the buddy but got hacked off with trying to wash and vid. There is still a thin film on the car buts it’s piss easy to wash off with a wash mitt.

There's applying a coating and then there’s applying a coating, same as applying wraps. Nothing is ever simple

Clearly looking at that vid I had the wrong guy do my ceramic coating :-(

For those that are yet to try them. Gyeon have some great maintenance products. Bathe+ is an amazing shampoo and Wet Coat will mean you pretty much never need to have your car topped up with sealant after the initial treatment.

Deep Pile Microfibre towels then a blower. Blower on it’s own is like chasing your tail but with towels it’s a pretty effective system. Oh and softened water as our around here is too hard.

Only just seen this thread. Not sure what to say really...I am a professional detailer too, don't advertise on here as I joined as I am a petrolhead and didnt start detailing until a year or so after I joined...


Not sure how ceramic coatings can put you out of work...theres still maintenance washes etc and if your good will always be busy. Clients get these coatings as they want to maintain the car with ease and not spend money getting it detailed often. It makes cleaning it for them easier. Ppf is a must on a new car/ track car.

The detailing industry has gone mental. Valeters call themselves detailers...the big companies do a crap job but people buy into a name...literally charge stupid money too.

Also that stupidness on social media..'I wont follow this detailer as he has more followers than me and his pics are better' ...we don't get work from instagram...its all word of mouth.

It was tongue in cheek. Ceramic coatings have made my life easier, especially on the cars I maintain to the point I insist that they have some form of coating. Its a royal PITA to clean a car that is not maintained. In fact a BMW X6M that was recently protected I had to clean last week and it was a dream. Even the tar wiped off, which I was really surprised about. Cars at this time of year do get a lot of tar stuck to them off the road.
